<p>A furnace is sealed at the fuel entrance and exit by valves and has an inlet and outlet for heating and cleaning gases. A horizontal, moving platform impermeable to gas has sealing devices at the turning points and gates. These gates are adjustable, outwardly sealed, divide the furnace above the layer of fuel into compartments and are arranged at right angles to the moving platform. The fuel is carried through the furnace on the moving platform.</p> |
