PURPOSE: To obtain an improved sticky bit detection and shift circuit by constituting the circuit of a specific data input terminal and a control terminal and generating an output detection signal within a time required for generation of an output data operand to be shifted. CONSTITUTION: The circuit consists of a data input terminal 31, which receives an input operand having a prescribed number of bits, and a control terminal 33. A first circuit part is connected to both of the data input terminal 31 and the control terminal 33 and detects all bits to output the output signal. A second circuit part is coupled to the first circuit part, the data input terminal 31, and the control terminal 33 and gives an output data operand obtained from the input operand. The output detection signal is outputted within the time required to give the output data operand. Thus, the sticky bit detection function and the operand bit shift function are improved. |
