PURPOSE:To obtain superior toner for electrostatically charged image development which has no environmental dependency and stable triboelectrification and image density by grinding and classifying a toner compound in the presence of a hydrophobic processing agent after heat fusion and kneading. CONSTITUTION:The toner compound consisting principally of binding resin and pigment is fused thermally and kneaded, and then ground by a rough grinder, so that the roughly ground raw material 1 is supplied to a supplying machine 3 through a hopper 2. The raw material 1 which is supplied to the supplying machine 3 is fed in a rough powder cutting classifying machine 4 from the supplying machine 3 by a pneumatic transportation. The hydrophobic processing agent 5 is fed to the powder which is classified by the rough powder cutting classifying machine 4 and sent in a jet grinding machine 6. The exit 6A of the jet grinding machine 6 and the entrance 4A of the rough powder cutting classifying machine 6 are linked with each other by a circulation path 7 and while the powder after hydrophobic processing is circulated between the rough powder cutting classifying machine 4 and jet powder grinding machine 6, large powder is ground. A compound expressed by a general formula I or II is used preferably as the hydrophobic processing agent. |
