Pretzels are coated with sugar or syrup for sticking sugar crystals to them which resemble conventional salt crystals as used in pretzels for adults. The crystals are applied to the upper surfaces only and are opt. larger than salt crystals to distinguish them from those for adults. The pretzels are made from wheat dough, stranded, formed into figures of eight, coated and then sprinkled with the crystals. |
