Apparatus consists of twin screw, counter rotating threaded shafts having intermediate discharge pipe at one end, each shaft having a number of equally spaced radial slots in which are positioned vanes so arranged that each vane can slide freely along its slot, its position controlled by a swinging cam positioned between the shafts so that during rotation of the shafts the cam contacts each vane and forces it to recede as far as the shaft circumference just before the vane reaches the discharge pipe. This mechanism permits continuous and simultaneous measurement and feeding of materials such as mince-meat, jam, minced vegetables, cake material etc. |
