A decorative effect, especially an "old" aspect is produced on the treated surface of a piece of leather by a machine having two cylinders mounted one above the other and driven independently of each other. The leather piece is fed between the cylinders and the lower cylinder has a non-slip surface to grip and advance the leather piece while the upper cylinder has polishing discs and a device to move the upper cylinder back and forward parallel to its axis. |
