Apparatus for mixing and dispersing liquids and liquids containing solids, which contains an impeller mounted in the housing with at least one series of teeth arranged round its periphery, as well as a stator having at least two coaxially arranged series of teeth, with the impeller teeth situated between the rows of stator teeth, with the improvement whereby at least one edge of the impeller teeth and the corresponding edges of the stator teeth are arranged at an inclined angle to the plane of rotation of the impellers.
