Headings C3R and C3T. 0À1 to 20 wt. per cent of a block copolymer containing siloxane and oxyalkylene segments is incorporated in fibre forming polyamides as an antistatic agent. Specified polyamides are nylons 6 and 66. In the preferred block copolymers the segements are linked by a direct Si-C linkage. Reference is made to Specifications 1,015,611 and 983,850 for their description. The polyamide may also contain heat stabilizers, e.g. Cu salts, antioxidants, mould release agents, pigments and delustrants, e.g. TiO 2 . |
