摘要 1,223,367. Projectile fuzes. C. O. LEIBER, and G. HEIMKE. 3 April, 1969 [6 April, 1968], No. 17726/69. Heading F3A. [Also in Division H3] In a pressure responsive tripping device for switching processes, a metallic alloy switching member 3, whose Curie temperature may be varied by application of pressure via a pressure piece 5, is disposed adjacent a coil 4 and forms part of a magnetic circuit comprising a permanent magnet 1 by a yoke 2, pressure P causing the alloy to pass from a ferromagnetic to a paramagnetic state thus inducing a voltage across coil 4. To avoid delay by eddy-current damping, the coil preferably encircles the member 3. Magnet 1 may be radially magnetized, Fig. 2, (not shown) attached directly to one end of member 3 and to the other end by a soft iron yoke (7) which also serves as the device housing, Fig. 2 (not shown). The magnet may also be annular, concentric with member 3 and connected to the ends thereof by two plates (12), Fig. 3 (not shown). A bi-metallic switch (16) may be placed in series with the coil to prevent switching by a temperature rise. The device, which may be used as an impact fuze for a projectile, may also be operated by removal of pressure P. The alloy may be 30-36% Ni, 70-64% Fe by weight.
