1324296 Pesticides containing 8-hydroxy quinoline or 8-hydroxyquinaldine acrylates CIBA-GEIGY AG 19 April 1971 [13 Feb 1970] 21725/71 Heading A5E [Also in Division C2] Bactericidal and fungicidal compositions comprise in combination with a carrier, a compound of formula wherein (a) is hydrogen or halogen, R 1 is hydrogen or methyl and R 2 and R 3 are hydrogen, (b) X is methyl, R 1 is hydrogen, one of R 2 and R 3 is halogen and the other is hydrogen or halogen, with the proviso that R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are different from one another if R 2 is chlorine or bromine, or (c) X is methyl, R 1 is methyl and R 2 and R 3 are hydrogen or halogen. Other pesticides, e.g. fungicides and microbocides, may be incorporated and extensive lists of these are given, under the general headings of inorganic substances, copper, tin and mercury substances, other organometallic compounds, aliphatic compounds, benzene derivatives, phenols, dinitrophenols, anilines, quinones, trichloromethyl thio-compounds, organic phosphates, dithiocarbamates, O-, N-, S-, NO-, NS- and OS- heterocycles, quaternary ammonium compounds, fungicidal antibiotics, other miscellaneous compounds and mixtures thereof. |
