PURPOSE:To improve the temp. controllability and heat efficiency of the reforming device by inserting plural tubes with one end opened at the tip of a reaction tube and communicating with the internal space into the catalyst-packed bed in the annular reaction tube in its longitudinal direction to form a reformed gas passage. CONSTITUTION:The annular reaction tube 2 consisting of an outer tube 5 and an inner tube 6 is arranged around a burner 3 almost concentrically provided in a cylindrical furnace body 1 while leaving an annular space between the reaction tube and the inner wall of the furnace body, and a catalyst 7 is packed in the reaction tube 2. Plural tubes 15 are inserted into the catalyst-packed bed in its longitudinal direction almost at regular intervals, the lower end thereof is opened at the lower end part in the reaction tube 2 and communicated with the catalyst-packed part, and the upper end thereof is connected to a manifold 16 communicating with a reformed gas discharge pipe 11. The raw gas A blown in from the upper part of the reaction tube 2 through a feed pipe 10, heated by the combustion gas C discharged from the burner 3 from the outer tube 5 side and inner tube 6 side while allowing the catalyst packed bed to descend and reformed, and the generated reformed gas B is allowed to descend in the tube 15 and discharged through the manifold 16 and discharge pipe 11. |
