<p>PURPOSE:To maintain low back pressure of exhaust gas while eliminating soot in exhaust gas efficiently by forming an exhaust gas communication passage with an one-end closed passage and a both-ends opened passage, and arranging a temperature sensing operation valve which is closed at the time of a low temperature of exhaust, gas and opened at the time of a high temperature thereof, on the both-ends opening passage. CONSTITUTION:In a ceramic filter 4 stored inside an exhaust gas cleaning chamber 2, a plurality of exhaust gas communicating passages 5 are formed while its exhaust gas inlet 6 is opened to an inlet side branch chamber 7, and also its exhaust outlet 8 is opened to an outlet side confluence chamber 9 respectively. In such a device, the exhaust gas communicating passage 5 is formed with an one-end closed passage 10 and a both-ends opened passage 11. For example, in the one-end closed passage 10, an exhaust flow-in passage 12 forming the exhaust inlet 6 on its starting end part is communicated to an exhaust gas flow-out passage 14 forming the exhaust outlet 8 on its terminating end part through a filter wall 13. Also, a temperature sensing operation valve 29 is arranged on the both-ends opened passage 11, and this valve 29 is closed at the time of a low temperature of exhaust 15 so as to close the both-ends opening passage 11, and on the other hand, it is opened at the time of a high temperature thereof.</p> |
