<p>A continuous regeneration process for waste rubber and plastics esp. old tyres and commercial articles, consists of granulating and wetting with plasticiser and regenerating agent, followed by indirect heating and non-pressurised depolymerisation in a multi-screw unit, using screws which almost mesh and which have slight radial clearance from their housing in the non-meshing regions. The screws are contiuously or intermittently self-cleaning, and product is removed and conventionally homogenised.</p> |
