1310637 Centrifugal spreaders VOGEL & NOOT AG 19 April 1971 [13 Oct 1970] 20820/ 71 Heading AID Centrifugal spreading apparatus comprises a hopper, a rotatable spreader element and a valve arrangement for an outlet port located in the hopper; the flow through the outlet port, and the point at which the bulk of the material is delivered to the spreader element, being independently adjustable by a single lever, which is mounted in a universal joint allowing movement in two mutually perpendicular axes. In an embodiment Fig. 4 the valve arrangement comprises two adjustable valve members 23, 24, located in the side of the hopper, being controlled by lever 12. Moving the lever about axis a-a' adjusts the flow through each orifice, moving the lever about the axis b-b' adjusts the relative flow through each orifice, and thus the spreading pattern, without adjusting the overall flow rate. In another embodiment, Fig. 2, the valve members 23, 24 are located beneath the hopper and orifices 10, 11 adjusted, as before by lever 12. |
