<p>A thermoplastic moulding apparatus, comprising movable upper and fixed lower dies with pneumatic or hydraulic locking mechanism, has the upper part attached to a unit for moving it independently of the locking mechanism; when the locking mechanism is released, this unit moves the upper part along a constraining path comprising a lifting and/or a tilting component. Specifically, the upper is lifted, then tilted through 90 degrees. The mould locking mechanism is used for press-moulding, the separated unit being used to move the upper part away, to enable a different lower part to be introduced fro vacuum forming or blow-moulding.</p> |
