摘要 PURPOSE: To produce a flexible seamless belt having an accurate dimension by heating a tubular sleeve-shaped seamless substrate made of a polymer substance to place the same on a mandrel having an outer diameter larger than the inside circumference of a circle and adapting one or more layer on the tubular sleeve after cooling to form a composite belt and again heating the composite belt to detach the same from the mandrel. CONSTITUTION: An endless belt-shaped substrate made of a polymer substance having a predetermined inside circumference of a circle is heated to at least the apparent glass transition temp. of the nucleus polymer substance to be expanded. Next, the heated substrate is attached on a mandrel having an outer diameter larger than the predetermined inside circumference of a circle and at least one layer is adapted to the substrate to form a composite belt. The composite belt is heated to the apparent glass transition temp. to be expanded and subsequently detached from the mandrel. The polymer substance comprises polycarbonate, polysulfone or polyester and at least one layer is selected from a conductive layer, a blocking layer, an adhesive layer, a photoconductive layer and a light generating layer.
