<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently perform data transfer by designating the requirement of response of an IC card with a controller. CONSTITUTION:A code representing the requirement of response from the IC card 10 to the controller 20 is provided at a command signal, and the code in the command signal is recognized on the IC card 10, and a response signal is transmitted to the controller 20 when the response is required, and no response signal is transmitted when it is not required. In such a way, since it is possible to designate whether or not the response signal from the IC card 10 is required when the command signal is transmitted, wasteful response can be eliminated. Also, since plural IC cards 10 can be controlled simultaneously by requiring no response signal, the data transfer with high efficiency can be realized.</p> |
