PURPOSE:To make easy the handling of unit cell upon assembly by partitioning end faces of opposed spaces between two-layered fuel cell 1a, 1b vertically, fastening and fixing them with fastening boards 4 to form manifolds 6, 7 in the opposed spaces, and forming a fuel cell stack. CONSTITUTION:Stacked fuel cell 1a, 1b with the same form are arranged with a certain interval, wherein collection board 2 are provided vertically, and the outside is insulated by means of an insulation board spanning both sides of the cell 1a, 1b. The cells 1a, 1b are sandwiched by a pair of vertically arranged fastening boards 4, and integratedly fastened with fastening rods 5 and nuts 15 at their four corners to constitute a fuel cell stack. On the sides of the cells 1a, 1b manifolds 6, 7 are provided to supply or discharge oxide agent gas 12 as well as fuel gas 9 in the direction vertical to each other. It is thus possible to make the size of one layered fuel cell and make the weight thereof half to facilitate the handling upon assembly thereof. |
