The section strip (1) has parallel tracks (2) for the curtain runners and a decorative fascia panel (3) with a fastening web on the back which fits into a holder system housed in a guide groove (4) extending in the longitudinal direction of the strip. The holder system comprises several individual narrow support runners (5) which have a slit-like access opening for the fastening web (12) on the end side facing the fascia panel (3) between two opposite resiliently splaying arms of the runners (5). This access opening widens out in its rear part to form a cavity (6) the height of which is smaller than the thickness of the front end of the web (12). Since the holder system comprises several individual elements it can be more readily adapted to the required length of the fascia panel without any special cutting.
