<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser power monitoring semiconductor device capable of dealing with both of a differential output and a single end output, and to provide an optical pickup device and an optical disk device. <P>SOLUTION: One end of a resistance element RA is connected to a Vcc power supply voltage terminal pin 41, and the other end of the resistance element RA is connected to one end of a resistance element RB and the input of a buffer circuit 61. The other end of the resistance element RB is connected to a GND ground terminal pin 43. The output of the buffer circuit 61 is connected to one end of a resistance element RC, and the other end of the resistance element RC is connected to a Vc external input terminal pin 42 and one end of a resistance element RD. The other end of the resistance element RD is connected to the input of a buffer circuit 62, and an internal reference voltage Vout is output from the buffer circuit 62.
