<p>Felt is an endless belt having an outer paper-contacting face and an underside to which several mono-filaments are fixed in parallel spaced relation to form channels therebetween. Water expressed from the paper may be removed at high felt belt speeds through a press by conveying it along the channels. Prefd. belt has woven base to which non-woven batting is needled on one or both sides.</p> |
