PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce amount of information with respect to a shape of a crack contained in an image.SOLUTION: A crack information collection method comprises the steps of: acquiring an image imaging an examination target region of a crack in a structure; detecting a pixel group of the crack contained in the examination target region from the image; sequentially setting inflection points from a starting point in an outline of the pixel group of the crack to an end point; and analyzing each position of the starting point, the inflection points, and the end point and a vector of each point to be collected as crack information. Thus, the crack is extracted as the image information so that information amount is substantially reduced while a complex structure of the crack is left.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
