<p>PURPOSE: To prevent loosening phenomena in a tape and to speed up switching of a drive mode by switching the drive mode with an idler turning means not utilizing the power of a capstan motor. CONSTITUTION: The idler 5 driven with the capstan motor 2 is arranged between reel disks 1 and 1', and the rotating axis 5a of the idler 5 is connected to the fixed axis 4a of a rotating body 4 to which the rotation of the capstan motor 2 is transmitted with a turnable connecting lever 6. Also, a slender plate shaped moving member 7 linearly moving with a separate driving means is arranged so as to extend in the direction connecting the axis of both reel disks 1 and 1', and the idler 5 is moved with the moving member 7. Therefore, the other driving source independently operating with the capstan motor 2 is driven to turn the idler 5. By this way, the drive mode is switched without rotating the capstan axis, loosening in the tape is not generated, and mode switching is rapidly executed.</p> |
