Pellets contg. optical brightening compsns. according to parent patent have the compsn. 1-40% by wt. optical brightener, 59.5-95% natural starch, 0.2-1.5% of magnesium and/or calcium sopa of 16-20C fatty acid and 0.3-3.0% stripping agent as fine particles, pref. a colloidal silica and pref. contg. 1-25% fibrous microcrystalline cellulose, fibre length 0.001-0.5 mm, in the patent of addn. 1-5% by wt. of a carboxymethyl starch, pref. of 0.15-0.50 carboxymethyl groups per anhydroglucose unit, substitution is also present. The addition of carboxymethyl starch improves keeping qualities of the brightening compsn. compared to those of parent patent. |
