In one shoe 4 is inserted between sheath 8 and core 9, the pliers are closed to press the wheel 6 against the sheath and the wheel is turned, e.g. by a wing arrangement 7 so as to draw the pliers along the cable, blade 2 cutting through the sheath. Wheel 6 may comprise opposed conical gears with small diameters adjacent, see Fig. 2 not shown, and the wing device 7 may be mountable on either side of the axle of wheel 6. Movable plates with marks thereon may be mounted above blade 2 to indicate the length of the slit cut. |
