PURPOSE:To transmit a current data, exceeding some bit length, while keeping the data length of other information as it is by a method wherein the bit length of the current data of its own terminal is converted by a signal converter while the converted bit length is restored by a signal restorer at the counterpart terminal. CONSTITUTION:When a current data having 16 bit length, for example, is transmitted with 12 bit length, a signal converter 36 converts the current data having 16 bit length into a current data having 12 bit length through some relative formula. A signal restorer 37 restores the current data of 12 bit length, which is transmitted from a counterpart terminal, into the current data having initial 16 bit length. In this case, the current data of 16 bit length is converted into 2 bits of weight bit + 10 bits of data bit and total 12 bits to transmit it while said 12 bits is restored into 16 bit length by the signal restorer 37 on the signal receiving side. According to this method, the current data, exceeding 12 bits, for example, can be transmitted while keeping the data length of the other information as it is in a condition that the characteristics of relay are not affected substantially. |
