<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound useful as an antiviral agent in a high yield using a new method by reacting a specified compound with a sodium hydroxide and subsequently with hydrochloric acid. CONSTITUTION:To 0.44mmol compound of formula I, 1.5-2ml of 1N NaOH solution is added in a solvent such as dioxane and the resultant mixture is preferably allowed to react at the room temperature. The resultant reaction mixture is concentrated, blended with 1N HCl in an amount of 2-3ml based on 0.44mmol compound of formula I and heated at a temp. near the boiling point of the solvent. The resultant reaction mixture is subjected to chromatographical treatment, etc., thus obtaining the objective compound of formula II.</p> |
