PURPOSE:To improve seat belt fastening performance by driving a motor, upon riding in a car, to rotate an arm to move a tongue plate at the end of the arm from an upper position to a lower position, and locking the tongue plate to a guide buckle fixed to the inner wall of a door to obtain the restraint condition of a crew. CONSTITUTION:When a crew opens a door to ride in a car, sits on a seat, and then the door is closed, a motor 26 is driven, the driving of this motor 26 causes an arm 31 to rotate from a its horizontal position to its vertical position via a worm gear train 25. And an anchor buckle 35 provided at the end of the arm 31 and locking a tongue plate 2 is moved from a high position 15 to a low position 16, the arm 31 presses a guide face 44, provided at the end of the rod 46 of an arm locking device 49 so as to pass through it against a spring 47. Under the passing condition, the rod 49 is projected by the spring 49 again to prevent the arm 31 from rotating in the reverse direction, so that the arm 31 is locked at the low position 16 to restrain the crew by a seat belt 10. |
