<p>PURPOSE:To generate random number information for authentification in pseudo manner by using data data which becomes a base in the generation of the random number information by reading out from an internal memory, and rewriting the random number information generated newly so as to be set as base data in the generation of the next random number information. CONSTITUTION:An IC card 1, when receiving a telegram from terminal equipment 8, executes a mutual authentification preparatory flow selectively from the function code of the telegram. In other words, it is confirmed whether or not an application data file is already selected first, and when it is not selected, a key data number in an input telegram is found out, and it is checked whether or not it is normal. When it is normal, the random number information A and key data in the telegram are stored in the prescribed area of an internal RAM. The random number information B is generated according to prescribed algorithm based on the random number information A, a number proper to the card, and card random number information, and it is rewritten as new card random number information. Thereby, it is possible to generate the random number information for mutual authentification is pseudo manner even without incorporating a battery.</p> |
