PURPOSE:To obtain a shaft coupling construction of a FRP shaft capable of transmitting torque without secondary machining by fitting the boss of a flange into the elliptical hole of an attachment, and fitting them into a hollow fiber reinforced shaft through cold-fitting to be in one body. CONSTITUTION:A flange 11 is provided with a boss 13 having an elliptical section on the center part. An attachment 12 is provided with an elliptical hole 17 into which the boss 33 of the flange 11 is fitted and one slit 16 in the radial direction. The boss 13 of the flange 11 is fitted in the elliptical hole 17 of the attachment 12, hereafter they are fitted in a hollow FRP shaft 10 by cold-fitting to be in one body. When the flange 11 is rotated, the slit part 16 of the attachment 12 intends to spread, and torque is transmitted by the friction generated at this time. In this way, the shaft coupling construction of the FRP shaft capable of transmitting torque can be obtained without secondary machining. |
