PURPOSE:To stabilize the laser light and to improve the laser light output, by providing a gas buffer chamber between a surrounding section and a laser tube, and providing communication holes and gas circulating holes between the gas buffer chamber and the laser tube. CONSTITUTION:A surrounding section 7A is provided on the outside of a laser tube 1 on the side of a gas introducing path 13, and a gas buffer chamber 7 is provided between the surrounding section 7A and the laser tube. Communication holes 14, 15 and gas circulating holes 17, 18 are formed between the gas buffer chamber 7 and the laser tube 1. Gas 6 passing through the communication holes 14 and 15 impinges at a high speed against a protrusion 16 and is divided into two flows 6A and 6B. The divided gas flows are moved reciprocally within the gas buffer chamber by the repulsive force, and is circulated into the laser tube through the holes 17 and 18 after the alleviation of the repulsive force. Accordingly, the gas 6 is prevented from causing variation in pressure within the laser tube. Therefore, the loss of laser light can be decreased and the laser light output can be improved. |
