PURPOSE:To save space by mounting a drum-in motor into a drum together with an operation detecting sensor and a control circuit for the drum-in motor. CONSTITUTION:A drum-in motor 12 is installed into a drum 11 to be driven. The drum-in motor 12 takes an outer rotor type that the drum 11 is turned and driven together with a casing for the motor 12 centering around a shaft 12a on the stator side. A pulse encoder 3 as an operation detecting sensor and a control circuit 4 are fitted into the drum 11 in the drum-in motor 12.
