PURPOSE:To obtain an accompaniment pattern with rich variation by selecting an accompaniment sound according to the number of coincident constituent sounds and/or the increase or the decrease of constituent sounds. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 2 inputs chord information and performance information from a keyboard device 1, generates musical sound generation information according to those pieces of information, and supplies the information to a sound source part 4. Further, the CPU 2 inputs rhythm kind information, timbre information, and tempo information from an operation element group 3 and controls a sound source part 4 corresponding to them. The CPU 2 compares plural sounds constituting a 1st chord with sounds constituting a 2nd chord played thereafter and selects a stored accompaniment pattern according to the number of detected coincident sounds to play the device. Further, the CPU 2 compares the sounds constituting the 1st and 2nd chords with each other and selects a stored accompaniment pattern according to the difference between the 1st and 2nd chords to play the device. |
