PURPOSE:To prevent the fluctuation in furnace pressure owing to a titled device and blowing out of a high moisture atmosphere by providing hydro-extracting gas nozzles on the outlet side in a cooling chamber disposed with many cooling nozzles and opposed gas nozzles behind the same by directing these nozzles in respectively prescribed directions. CONSTITUTION:A pair of hydro-extracting gas jet nozzles 11 directed to the upper stream side in the advancing direction of a steel strip S and a pair of opposed gas jet nozzles 12 behind the nozzles 11 are respectively provided on the outlet side in a cooling chamber 3 provided with many gas-water cooling nozzles 9. Commands are fed by a control device 14 to control valves 15, 16 according to cooling conditions to control the cooling water flow and gas flow rate to the nozzles 9. On the other hand, hydro- extracting gas is branched and drawn from the gas piping for gas-water cooling and is ejected from the nozzles 11 through a blower 17 and a control valve 18 for gas flow rate.The gas is similarly ejected from the nozzle 12 as well through a blower 19 and a control valve 20. The pressure in the chamber S and on the overaging chamber side is detected and compared so that the valves 18, 20 are controlled in accordance with the instruction from a control device 21. |
