ORE FLOTATION AND FLOTATION AGENTS FOR USE THEREIN Carboxyalkyl dithiocarbamates which can be characterized by the formula < IMG > wherein R is selected from the group consisting of alkylene radicals, preferably alkylene radicals each having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, wherein R' is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and methyl and ethyl radicals, and wherein X is selected from the group consisting of alkali metal atoms, their use as ore flotation suppressants, and a process for making these novel compositions are disclosed.
