PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of an ultrasonic wave driver and to facilitate the reduction of the size of the driver by polarizing a piezoelectric element plate or a piezoelectric element plate made of magnetostrictive element at upper and lower parts obliquely, providing driving poles on the upper and lower surfaces and using the electrode faces as feed driving surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric element plate 1 is polarized obliquely with respect to the thicknesswise direction. Driving electrodes 6 are formed on the upper and lower surfaces of the plate 1, and used as feed driving surfaces.
