Process for the production of plaited knitted fabrics
摘要
The invention is used for the patterning of knitted fabrics, the advantages of a plaited structure being combined with the properties obtainable by means of a weft patterning. The object is achieved in that the weft threads are plaited, so that the weft threads supplied simultaneously determine the character of the product respectively on the right-hand and on the left-hand side of the knitted fabric. The knitted fabric produced thus acquires two sides which differ in their appearance, structure and/or use of fibre or material. The weft plaiting can be combined with a plaiting of the stitch-forming threads. Advantages are a saving of material, a broadening of the patterning possibilities and also the possible use of a plaiting process for the production of net-like knitted fabrics.
