PURPOSE:To heighten automorphic effect by supporting a rotative supporting point of each lid by an elastic connection member in a system constituting a cover member, which covers an opening part of a part on the side of an assistant driver's seat of an instrument panel, from upper and lower lids free to rotate to open in the vertical direction. CONSTITUTION:An opening part 11 is formed on a part facing to an assitant driver's seat of an instrument panel 6, an air bag system 12 is built in the instrument panel 6 on a part corresponding to this opening part 11 and it is supported with a steering support member 13. In this case, as a cover member to cover the opening part 11, upper and lower lids 18, 19 free to rotate to open in the vertical direction are provided. Subsequently, the upper end edge of the upper lid 18 and the lower end edge of the lower lid 19 are connected to each other with a band type elastic body 23 in the tensional state, and simultaneously, on the other end part of each of the lids 18, 19, engagement projections 26, 27 to maintain them with an energizing force in the direction opposite to the energizing direction by the elastic body 23 and the both lids 18, 19 are assembled from a common support bracket 20 in one single assembly (assy) body 21. |
