PURPOSE:To obtain a developer not causing offset trouble at the time of using a heat roll fixing system capable of high-speed fixing by incorporating a polymer of a vinyl monomers including a specified cross-linkable monomer in an amount of specified weight % or more of the total monomers. CONSTITUTION:The polymer to be used for the resin of toner particles to be dispersed into a carrier solution composed mainly of an aliphatic hydrocarbon in forming the objective liquid developer is a copolymer of vinyl monomers, preferably, such as styrene, o-methylstyrene, or m-styrene, in addition to them, monomers, such as ethylene, propylene, vinylnaphthalene, or the like, containing the cross-linkable monomers, for example, compounds having >=2 polymerizable double bonds, such as divinylbenzene, divinylnaphthalene, or their derivatives, in an amount of >=0.005wt.% of the total monomers, thus permitting the obtained developer to be easy in high-speed fixing, and not to cause offset trouble. |
