PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive body easy in manufacture and capable of forming a sharp copy image free from background stains due to repeated uses by rendering the heat deformation temperature of the resin to be incorporated in a photosensitive layer lower than that of a supporting body and substantially eliminating a residual solvent from the photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The heat deformation temperature of the resin to be incorporated in the photosensitive layer at least formed on a supporting body composed essentially of plastics is made lower than that of said supporting body in an electrophotographic sensitive body and the residual solvent is substantially removed from the photosensitive layer, thus permitting poor contact with a developing roller, occurrence of nonuniform image density, disturbance of developing density, by rendering the heat deformation temperature of the binder resin to be incorporated in the photosensitive layer same as or lower than that of the supporting body and consequent deterioration of image quality to be prevented, and occurrence of residual potential due to the presence of the coating solvent in the photosensitive layer, and consequent fogging and background staining to be prevented, and accordingly, a sharp copy image free from background stains to be obtained even at the time of repeated uses. |
