PURPOSE:To make the quality of picture of a photograph printed according to the specification of pseudo telephoto equal to that of a usually photographed one by giving a filtering effect to a printing luminous flux according to previously given information in the case of expanding and printing a trimmed part. CONSTITUTION:A specification information reading device 11 reads a code consisting of four bits of dots, and if the specification information 3 specifies a pseudo telephoto mode, it means that a range C trimmed smaller than a usual photographed range is an intended one, so that a picture is printed on the screen D on a printing paper by enlarging an expanding magnification as compared with a usual mode. In order to suppress a phenomenon that the particles of film lock prominent in the case of projecting in a trimming mode by enlarging the expanding magnification as compared with the usual mode, thus, the particle quality of a printed picture can be improved by inserting a low pass filter 12 in the optical path of a projecting lens 7. Thus, the roughness of particles in a printed picture at the time of pseudo telephotographing can be removed and a smooth and clear photograph can be obtained.
