<p>PURPOSE:To convey sheets and transfer toner images securely by employing a seamless annular belt member provided with electrodes arranged side by side for attracting sheet-shaped object and electric supply means for inducing electrostatic attraction force in the electrode group. CONSTITUTION:A sheet conveying device is consisting of a seamless annular belt member 1 and an electric supply section 14. The seamless annular belt member 1 for circulating movement with a sheet-shaped object being attractively stuck to its outer circumferential surface has an insulating inner layer 11, a semiconductive outer layer 12 laminated on the inner layer and plural number of electrodes 13 arranged side by side at specified intervals being interposed between both layers 11, 12. And an electric supply section 14 supplies electricity to the electrode group which faces a conveying passage of the sheet-shaped object among the plural number of electrodes 13 in order to induce electrostatic attraction force in the group. Since both the insulating inner layer 11 and the semiconductive outer layer 12 constituting the belt member 1 are formed as a seamless annular body without any joint, the belt member 1 possesses uniform strength over the entire circumference and no local bend is produced when it is subjected to bending moment.</p> |
