The fragrance dispensing device includes an annular element (44) made from a solid, synthetic, polymeric, plastic material, such as a low density polyethylene, containing about 5 to about 20 weight % of a vaporizable fragrance material uniformly dispersed throughout. In one emodiment, the element (44) is mounted on a canister (16) and closely surrounds, but is maintained out of contact with, the burner assembly (20). When a wick (38) is lit, heat from the burner assembly (20) vaporizes and drives the fragrance material from the plastic material. |
