PURPOSE:To carry out heat exchange with a small heat consumption, by preheating warm water with a liquid when the liquid is not heated to a sterilization temperature and by preheating an untreated liquid with a sterilized liquid when the sterilized liquid is heated to the sterilization temperature. CONSTITUTION:The title sterilizing device is equipped with a tank 22 charged with a liquid to be sterilized under heating, a first plate type heat exchanger 20 to preheat the liquid in the tank 22, a second plate type heat exchanger 21 to heat the liquid passed from the heat exchanger 20 to the sterilization temperature, a warm water tank 23 to store warm water useful as a heat source for the heat exchanger 21 and a third plate type heat exchanger 24 to preheat the warm water discharged from the heat exchanger 21 and to return to the warm water tank 23. The liquid discharged from the heat exchanger 21 is used as a heat source for the heat exchangers 20 and 24. When the liquid reaches the sterilization temperature, the liquid is passed through the heat exchanger 20, sent to the next process and when the liquid does not reach the sterilization temperature, the liquid is passed through the heat exchanger 24 and returned to the tank 22. |
