<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate transportation and laying work by a method wherein a cover for closing up an upper opening is provided, a conductor is held inside a metal vessel, a gel insulator is filled up in the vessel to make insulation between the conductor and the vessel or between conductors, and vessels thus prepared are connected in a prescribed direction or length appropriately. CONSTITUTION:In a box-shaped metal vessel 1 having a construction divided in the longitudinal direction, insulating spacers 5a and 5b insulating a conductor 2 from the metal vessel 1 and supporting it are so fitted that an airtight state on the opposite sides can be kept. Between the insulating spacers 5a and 5b, a gel insulator 4 is poured in while it is fluid, and a cover 3 is fitted. The gel insulator 4 is set and brought to a gelled state after a prescribed time and thus a power cable is completed.</p> |
