摘要 PURPOSE:To miniaturize the entire part of the joined body and to reduce the volume and weight thereof so that the burden on a patient can be decreased by joining a base material consisting of titanium or titanium alloy and a bioaffinity material consisting of a calcium phosphate compd. via a prescribed intermediate layer so that the integrated body is joined by a chemical means. CONSTITUTION:The base material consists of the metal titanium or titanium alloy which is stable in the living body and is formed with a layer contg. the fine particles of the titanium or titanium alloy on the surface. The calcium phosphate compd. which is the bioaffinity material is so shaped as that the surface thereof is flush with the joint surface of the base material to cause the joint over the entire surface and to obviate the generation of a spacing. the base material and the bioaffinity material are joined via the intermediate layer contg. a titanium oxide, tantalum oxide or the composite oxide contg. the same and the titanium or titanium alloy. The bioaffinity material formed with the intermediate layer on the surface and the surface of the base material are brought into tight contact with each other and both are fixed by a fixture at need and are subjected to sintering by heating. The calcium phosphate compd./titanium base material joined body formed in such a manner is well joined by the intermediate layer and is usable as an ordinary implant material as well.
