In a module, in particular a packaging container, made of ferromagnetic material, the regions of the bottom, forming the standing surface or lying surface of the module, are provided in a targeted manner with a protective coating made of corrosion inhibitors. To apply the inhibitors, the container is guided in the normal position through a treatment zone, in which the relevant regions of the standing surface are brought in a targeted manner into contact with a liquid containing the inhibitors. The treatment zone is connected in a customary transport route for the modules. In order to control the level of liquid in the treatment zone and thus to control the extent of the bottom surface sprayed by the liquid, an overflow container with an adjustable overflow is provided for the treatment liquid. |
