Articulator for prodn. of dental prosthesis - has model secured to base plate with synthetic resin

The articulator is for use in producing a dental orosthesis. It has a base plate (1) which supports two pillars (6, 7). These pillars (6, 7) support a cross-member (3) which carries a swinging arm (2). A model (40) of the prosthesis is mounted on the base plate (1). The model (40) is attached to the base plate (1) by means of a layer of synthetic resin. The model (40) is set in the resin in the required angular oosition whilst the resin is still in a soft condition. When the resin hardens, the model is held firmly in the required position.
