PURPOSE: To facilitate release of one member by forming an enlarged portion of a bolt with a greater section than the bore of each of a pair of members, coupling together the members, and giving the enlarged portion a length enough to hold one of the bores. CONSTITUTION: A bolt 10 is equipped with an enlarged portion 34 and a shank 32 having a pilot part 36. A gradient is formed on the pilot part 36 continued to a reduced portion 48, and the end part 38 of the enlarged portion 34 is tapered. The enlarged portion 34 is equipped with a spline 42. The bolt 10 is inserted into bores 28 and 30 provided in a pair of members. The enlarged portion 34 is made of a deformable material so that frictional fitting is facilitated. For example, the two members are a connecting rod 14 and a connecting rod cap 16 therefor, and the length of the enlarged portion 34 is such as to extend to part of the bore 30 of the cap 16 upon passing through the bore 28 of the connecting rod 14. Thus the cap 16 is held by the enlarged portion 34, and release of the cap 16 can be made easily. |
