PURPOSE:To obtain an aqueous paste composition giving a low-calorie food of pleasant texture and a good touch cosmetic free from stickiness, when it is added to food or cosmetic, by adding dietary fibers of a spheric or fibrous form having a specific particle size or length in a specific proportion. CONSTITUTION:Dietary fibers such as cellulose is crushed, partially degradated, dissolved followed by precipitation to form spheric or fibrous dietary fibers of less than 5mum particle size or length. The product is added in an amount of 5 to 40wt.% to give the subject water-based paste composition. It is preferred that the dietary fibers are used in a hydrogel form. |
